The Mid City, a popular and well established Ballarat icon, in the heart of Ballarat City, has 71 well appointed deluxe suites surrounding a centrally placed landscaped courtyard. This urban oasis is well set back from the main street and provides a tranquil environment to relax or swim in the heated outdoor swimming pool. This purpose built facility with a 70's style architecture also incorporate a bar and bistro which is opened 7 days a week, and a Function and Conference Centre which can accommodate up to 200 people. A well sculptured water feature wall and reflecting pool depicting the Gold Rush in the 1850's in Ballarat by local artist Barry Singleton forms the backdrop and focus in the foyer and restaurant and is itself a delightful sight and sound experience. Wireless HSIA is also available in all rooms and public areas.

Directions

From Melbourne, take 1st exit off Western Highway into the city centre and turn right into Doveton Street North. (Midland Highway A300) We are approx.100m on your left (Off Sturt Street)or 200m NW of old GPO. From Adelaide, take exit to Ballarat City Centre along A300 (Midland Highway). We are on your right approximately 100 m before Sturt Street intersection.

At the Mid City, we have four main conference rooms, the largest being able to seat 200 theatre style. Our technical facilities are extensive and include PA system, microphones, both overhead and slide projectors, flip charts, lecterns, television, VCR and wireless high speed broadband internet access. We also provide fax and photocopying services and secretarial services are also available. Our Conference Facilitator can also assist you in planning your conference and our extensive local knowledge is invaluable when planning off-site excursions, day trips, transport and after dinner entertainment. Mid City Catering No matter what your catering needs, we can help you. Our outside catering is renowned for it's service and style. Fallingwater Located on the first floor with views overlooking Ballarat's skyline. Open daily for buffet breakfast from 6.30 am - 9.30 am (Mon - Fri) and from 8.00 am -10.30 am during weekends, school and public holidays, and for dinner from 6.00 pm till late. Enjoy a cocktail before dining at our Club bar, or just relax in your tastefully appointed suite and let room service pamper you. Fallingwater Club Bar Open daily from 5.00 pm till late.
