Norton Museum of Art. Founded by Ralph Hubbard Norton and his wife, this West Palm museum first opened its doors to the public in 1941. The main concentration of art displayed at the Norton Museum is French and Post-Impressionist, 20th-Century American, and Chinese, including some Buddhist sculpture. Also housed in the museum are pieces by Brancusi, Picasso, Calder, and Lipchitz. Other museums and galleries of note include the Flagler Museum, the restored estate of railroad tycoon Henry M. Flagler, and the South Florida Science Museum, site of the South Florida Aquarium.
