Amazon Hotel is a pleasant contempory hotel very conveniently situated in the center of Athens just off Syntagma Square in the picturesque area of Plaka. Having undergone recent total refurbishment,the hotel offers comfortable stylish accommodation along with all modern amenities. A team of experienced staff help to create a friendly atmosphere enabling guests to relax and enjoy their stay. The 40 completely renovated rooms are equipped with all modern facilities including sound-proof windows, satellite television, subscription television, direct phone line, private bathroom, air conditioning, music, refrigerator, mini bar, safe, magnetic locks, access to internet (isdn, voice mail), hairdryer in bathroom, etc. Room service and Front Desk service are available on a 24 hour basis.

Directions
From Athens airport by Express Public bus X95 to Syntagma Square. Ride lasts one hour. Hotel is 5 minutes walk from Syntagma square. Or by Metro from the airport to Syntagma. Ride lasts 45 minutes. Alternatively a taxi from the airport to Amazon Hotel costs around 30-35 Euros and takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic. From Attica Road. Exit to Kifisias Avenue heading south. After the American Embassy and the Concert Hall turn right to Vas. Sofias Ave. Straight on you meet Syntagma Square. Hotel Amazon is located at the city center. Use the metro from any spot and get off at Syntagma Station.

The cafeteria and breakfast room can be found on the first floor. Lunch or dinner can be enjoyed at the Delfi restaurant, just two blocks away from the hotel or at Platanos Taverna 100 meters away from the hotel, next to the Cathedral. Also choose from among the many restaurants and tavernas located at the area of Plaka.

A visit to the Houses of Parliament on Syntagma Squre where one can watch the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A walk in The National Gardens next to the parliament building and then on to chique Kolonaki area with it's numerous boutiques and coffee shops. From Syntagma Square there are frequent tram and bus connections to the nearby seaside areas of Glyfada or Voula, or further on to Piraeus port for boat connections to the islands. The ancient area of Plaka is the most picturesque district of Athens. It is a town within the city of Athens with labyrinthine tiled alleyways which take visitors back in time. Here, you will find the Ancient Market 'Agora', the Temple of Hephaestus, known as Thisseio, and the Tower of Winds. Enjoy an ouzo at one of the many outdoor tavernas under the shadow of the Acropolis.
