The architecture and interior design of the hotel's 117 rooms and suites is by Ed Tuttle, well known for his work at the recently opened Park Hyatt Paris-VendÃ´me. The rooms are designed in a contemporary style with a classical edge, expressed through high ceilings, simple lines and precious materials. Column-like panels of travertine are patterned with a jet-black inlay to give the stone a feeling of greater depth. Each guest room has a spacious living area, state-of-the-art Bang & Olufsen video systems and complimentary high-speed Internet access. The bathrooms continue the mood of subtle luxury found throughout the hotel and are strikingly large - almost the same size as the bedroom. They are equipped with generous counters, abundant natural light, a large walk-in closet and the unexpected addition of a minibar. Each bathroom has custom-made bronze fixtures with a black finish, deep soaking bathtubs and separate huge, powerful 'rain showers'. A double sink is also featured in almost every bathroom. Rooms for disabled guests are available. Non-smoking rooms are available on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The six guest floors are serviced by four elevators.
