Rose Gardens

Pay a visit to the Club's beautiful rose gardens, which can be used as a venue for cocktail parties or receptions.

Animal Orphanage

The animal orphanage managed by the neighboring ranch and the William Holden Foundation can be visited from a special entrance in the Club grounds.

Sanctuary Walking Safari

Guided game walks in the Sanctuary are scheduled daily. Clients are escorted by a naturalist, which makes for a very interesting two-hour walk, as the expert is a mine of information about the animals. Emphasis is placed on the flora and fauna, the bird-life, insects and the ecosystem.

Restaurants

Lord Delamare Restaurant

The brasserie-look Lord Delamere Restaurant boasts a popular frontage grilling area. Open for breakfast and lunch, meals are a selection of grills cooked in view of diners, a salad bar, and a choice of displayed desserts.

Lord Delamare Patio

Located off the Reception and Business Centre area. A new addition to The Norfolk Hotel, the Lord Delamere Patio extends off the Reception and Business Centre areas, but is still part of the Lord Delamere Restaurant. The Patio seats 60 people, and is therefore ideal for cocktail parties and private dinner parties.

Lord Delamare Terrace & Bar

Having proved to be a popular rendezvous since 1904, the Terrace and Bar have been patronised by almost all the first European pioneer settlers. Steeped in history, the Terrace continues to be a favourite watering hole. The Terrace accommodates guests for meals and casual drinks.

Ibis Restaurant

Located off the Reception and Lounge area, Ibis Restaurant is the perfect setting for both romantic evenings and business lunches. The restaurant extends onto a shaded terrace. The Ibis offers an Ã la Carte Menu featuring international gourmet cuisine. Open for dinner and lunch, with a special businessman's menu on offer for lunch.

Pool & Fitness Centre

The Norfolk Hotel offers an outdoor heated swimming pool and a fully equipped Fitness Centre. The outdoor heated pool is surrounded by lush gardens. Separate changing facilities for men and women are located nearby. Towels are provided here, along with mattresses for the sun beds. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Golf

Royal Nairobi Golf Club -- 18 holes, Par 72, 7021 yards. Club rental is available.

Giraffe Centre

Located a 30-minute drive from the Norfolk Hotel, visit the Giraffe Centre, a park which consists of 140 acres of parkland and forest. The giraffes thrived and produced several further generations of giraffe.

Several shopping options are available near the hotel.

Nairobi National Park

There are over 80 species of mammals and more bird species, which can be found within the Nairobi National Park, a 20-minute drive from the hotel.

Game Rides

Riding on horses through the Sanctuary gives you a unique vantage point, as you can get very close to the animals.

Fishing Safaris

The moorlands are a source of many freshwater rivers that cascade from rugged slopes. Trekking up or downstream on the Honi river, or waterfalls Chania, Karura and Gura, fishermen cast for the agile and swift Brown or Rainbow trout, using the popular 'Royal Coachman' fly. Rods / flies can be hired. Licences will be arranged for you by Reception.
