* All our suites overlook the Waikato River and are built among eight separate cottages. None of the suites are in the main building. * The main building consists of a main Lodge Room, which is used by guests as their living room. We entertain guests here for cocktails prior to dinner. * Dinner takes place in our main dining room where we serve a five course set menu dinner. This menu changes daily. Next to the main dining room is our library, which can be used as a separate dining room. * We also offer a gift shop, our Trophy Room, which can be used for private dining and small meetings and conferences, and our Wine Cellar, a separate room for dining and an active wine cellar that holds around 25,000 bottles of national and international wine. We also use the wine cellar for winetastings and special events. * The property encompasses 17 acres and guests are more than welcome to stroll through the gardens. We also have an artificial grass tennis court, an outside spa pool, a petanque court and a croquet field. Flyfishing can be done straight off the banks of the Waikato River.

Directions

The North

State Highway 1 from North or State Highway 5 from Rotura to Wairakei. Follow signs to Taupo. Huka Falls Road on left hand side opposite Wairakei International Golf Course, turn left and follow road until Huke Lodge entrance sign on left hand side.

The South

Follow State Highway 1 through Taupo. Leave Taupo in direction North and on top of hill follow signs to Huka Falls. Huka Lodge is situated 500 meters upstream of Huka Falls on the right hand side of the road.

Meeting Rooms

* Trophy Room - This room seats 25 people for a meeting in whatever configuration requested. The room is fully equipped with modern meeting facilities such as overhead projector, slide projector, video, TV and sound system. We have a private phone connection for modem and full secretarial services. Photocopiers available. * Library - This room seats 12 people for a small meeting in a more informal set-up, regularly used as a break out room.

Dining

Dinner and breakfast are included in all rates. Dinner is a five course set menu that changes daily, served at 8:00pm. Prior to dinner we serve a cocktail hour. Breakfast is both a buffet and a cooked menu and served from 7:30am to noon.

Health Club

Huka Lodge has an outside heated spa pool on site which can also be used as a swimming pool with use of the jet stream. For full fitness we transfer our guests to a local fitness center, which is fully equipped with modern gym equipment and full training available.

Guest Suites

All suites overlook the Waikato River and have a king size bed, two armchairs and a writing desk as well as a make-up table with mirror. In the suite you will find a minibar, with complimentary coffee and tea-making facilities. The suites are decorated in a very natural style with a warm feel of naural wood. All suites have a walk in wardrobe through which you have access to your bathroom. The wardrobes are equipped with drawers and cloth hanging facilities. The bathroom is sky lit and has a separate shower and bath, two wash basins and underfloor heating and heated towel rail and mirror. A4F - Owners Cottage: Four Bedrooms with Super King size beds, large ensuite bathroom, twin basins , bath as well as a shower and underfloor heating. Views of the Waikato River from living room, large fireplace. Infinity pool and private spa pool and private courtyard. Rates for 6 -8 people available on request
