Powhatan Plantation resort (named after the Powhatan Creek which ran through territory populated by the Powhatan Indian Confederation) sits on a forested 256 acres and has been built to accent the fully restored Manor House that was built in 1735. For thoseinterested in stepping back in time, Historic Colonial Williamsburg is a short distance away as well as the Yorktown Battlefield and the Jamestown settlement.

GENERAL Driving: From the airport take I-64 to exit 242A (Jamestown/ Route 199 West). Follow Route 199 West for 5.5 miles to the fifth traffic light. Turn left onto Route 5W (John Tyler Hwy). Continue for 1.8 miles to the second traffic light. Turn right onto Route 614 (Ironbound Road). Powhatan Plantation is located just under a mile on the left hand side. From Richmond take the I-64 to exit 234 (199E). Follow Route 199 East for approximately 8.5 miles to the first traffic light. Turn right onto John Tyler Hwy (Route 5). Continue for 1.8 miles to the second traffic light. Turn right onto Route 615 (Ironbound Road). Powhatan Plantation is located just under a mile on the left hand side. MAIN AIRPORT Airport Name: Richmond International Directions to Resort: From West (Richmond) Exit I-64 at exit 234 (199E). Follow Route 199 East for approximately 8.5 miles to the first traffic light. Turn right on John Tyler Highway (route 5). Continue for 1.85 miles to the second traffic light.
